Editable investigation-report draft
A draft that organizes times, observed activity, and items to confirm in the agency’s preferred format.
FOR DETECTIVE AGENCIES
We are designing a workflow that organizes video, audio, photos, and field notes into source-linked report drafts and client delivery materials.
This is not a finished product. We are shaping it through interviews with working agencies.
PROPOSED WORKFLOW
THE IDEA
After fieldwork, teams still need to reconcile footage, audio, photos, and time notes into a readable factual report.
We want to support that repetitive work while making every statement easier to trace back to its source.
The model assumes an investigator verifies the facts, language, and selected material, then edits and approves the delivery—not that raw AI output goes to a client.
POSSIBLE DELIVERABLES
These are candidates, not fixed features. The useful format will be decided with design partners.
A draft that organizes times, observed activity, and items to confirm in the agency’s preferred format.
References to original filenames and timecodes so reviewers can return to the supporting material.
Candidate stills, video segments, and transcript drafts shown with their review status.
A clear structure for the report, source index, approved media, and outstanding review items.
HUMAN APPROVAL
A useful production workflow needs a clear boundary between automation and professional judgment.
POTENTIAL AI SUPPORT
ALWAYS THE AGENCY
This concept does not guarantee evidentiary value or legal suitability. The agency—and legal professionals when appropriate—decides the final content and use.
DESIGN PARTNER INTERVIEW
We start with the real delivery workflow, review criteria, and case-to-case differences before deciding which features to build.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO LEARN
CO-DEVELOPMENT
Around 30 minutes on how reports and delivery packages are made today and which steps create the most work.
Define useful outputs, review steps, and how materials would be handled before any prototype work begins.
Evaluate source traceability, errors, correction time, and fit with real practice, then refine the next prototype.
QUESTIONS
No. It is in co-development. We are not promising finished features or specific results.
AI would support organization and drafting. The agency must verify, edit, judge, and approve every final delivery.
Your agency name, main investigation areas, and the delivery step that takes time. Do not send case materials.
No. We first need to understand useful features, case volume, and review requirements.
