How to keep records when you are worried about infidelity

Six fields for each entry

• Date and time
• Place
• What you directly observed
• Whether words are exact or summarized
• Your feeling or thought
• Original material and where it is stored

Preserve originals lawfully

Keep original versions of material you lawfully possess, not only edited copies. Do not access another person’s device or account without authorization.

Consistency over volume

Short entries with the same headings are often easier to review than irregular essays. Recording organizes events; it does not guarantee legal evidentiary value.
